Oh gods,
we cherish life in vain -
It
brings more sorrow and more pain;
Look at
this leaf still in its youth;
Decayed in
growing by man’s truth!
Oh gods,
what truths man can now seek,
Of what
truths minds can purely stick -
There's
desire in each thread of thought,
It
conquers man in smallest fought!
Oh gods,
how much you love to laugh
At our
thought of being rough -
We brake
with winds when standing tall,
Survived
inclined of being small!
Oh gods,
how long one's will can live
When
heart is built just to deceive -
We love
the form, we love the space,
Charmed
by beauty in senseless disgrace!
Oh gods,
who's man at all to judge
Your
purest form of joy and grudge;
I’m
standing still to hear your voice,
In darkest night I long a choice!
